Lingholm Shoot
Steep means steep
Lingholm shoot, as featured in the Shooting Gazette Jan 2010, is situated in the Lake District, with steep hills, high crags and deep wooded valleys making it perfect to present high, fast pheasants. The estate has a long history and was bought as a pheasant shoot at the turn of the century because of its superb terrain and stunning scenery.
Lingholm has a shooting gazette recommendation.
There are a small number of days to let. Most of the days at Lingholm are set in stone, this is rare opportunity to shoot testing birds at a reasonable price.
The day starts with a warm welcome and a drink in the shoot lodge, a mid morning drink and snack will be served.
Lunch in the brand new shooting lodge, with accommodation there can also be arranged. Great sport and a friendly atmosphere.
The day is charged at £29.00 per bird.

Not disappointed! We have had two more wonderful 200 bird days this November, at what is fast becoming a favourite trip out. Michael and Noel and the rest of the team as helpful and friendly as ever with just the right balance of encouragement and banter. Excellent meal and facilities, only wish I had more spare money!! We will be back next season all being well.

Our syndicate has shot at LINGHOLM shoot once or twice a year for some years and we are going back again this year for two separate days. Michael Noel and the rest of the team of beaters and pickers always lay on a good value for money day with excellent high birds and equally good hospitality and courtesy with a good amount of humour at lunch and post shoot drinks which are served in a very comfortable custom built gun room. Had a great day with Mike and his team and some very good birds considering the awful weather which basically switched back and forth from wet to very wet.
Great gun room, good hospitality, would shoot really well November/December again weather dependent. Only downside is do not go and expect to be able to work a dog because even on good ground the pickers up have collected all before the drive is over.
