Shoot Cancellation Insurance
Many people every year buy shoot cancellation insurance to cover a specific day that they have bought so that if it is cancelled due to bad weather, they can get their money back. We have addressed the fairly long winded process by launching an instant online quote and payment mechanism. No paper, no hassle! This has come as a response to both requests from members and our own frustration at the complexity of taking out such cover.
We have now made it easy! You will notice that against every day’s shooting advertised, providing it is more than 10 days away, a price of the cover will be included per gun. If you are a Fieldsports club member you can benefit from a 15% reduction on these rates.
Our system allows quotes to be calculated for any shoot anywhere in the UK, not just shoots featured on the GunsOnPegs system. Simply enter the details, a quote is displayed and then pay on-line. The benefits of being a Fieldsports Club member are significant especially if you are insuring a full day on behalf of a team of guns.
Some of the key features are:
- It can be taken out up to 10 days before the shoot

The days can be “partially” cancelled
- Shoot cancelled before any drives (after 1230) – 100% of sum insured payable
- Shoot cancelled after the start of the first drive – 66% of sum insured payable
- Shoot cancelled after the start of the second drive – 33% of sum insured payable
- Shoot cancelled after the start of the third drive – 0% of sum insured payable
- Adverse weather is defined as torrential rain, high winds, snow, poor visibility, low cloud, fog etc.
- We are acting as the Appointed Representatives of Robins Row
For Fieldsports Club members we have another new and unique benefit. If, rather than making a claim, one is able to agree to schedule an alternative day in lieu of the cancelled day during the same season, the rates will be discounted by 35%!
The insurance is brokered through Robins Row and underwritten by HCC International Insurance Company PLC.
