First of all, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Many members that we have spoken to in the last few weeks are going to be out in the Field this Christmas whether it be on a family shoot or with your syndicate. Personally, we feel a day out between Christmas and New Year tops the festive feeling!
For those of you that would like to take a gun with a couple of others at the last minute, Ripley Castle have a number of spaces available just after Christmas. On an important note, if you are shooting over Christmas, make sure you are insured to shoot and that your guests are too. Our Fieldsports Club membership provides you with probably the best insurance cover around plus a whole host of other benefits. A perfect Christmas present too!

The well renowned Ripley Castle shoot is looking for guns to make up teams on 4 days between Christmas and New Year: the 28th,29th & at Eagle Hall and Ripley Castle on the 30th. It does make you wonder when you see someone save up for months for a day’s shooting only to see them frustrated throughout the day as they struggle to hit anything and eventually become despondent.
This is a perfect example of when spending a little extra money on a professional ‘on the peg’ instructor would really help you enjoy the day. Not only will you get the tuition you require when you are having trouble but many will drive you to and from the shoot enabling you to enjoy the shoot dinner after too!
