Brewlands Estate, set in 3000 acres in Glenisla in Highland Perthshire, one and a half hours from Edinburgh on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, (one of the most important conservation landscapes in Britain) provides a terrific sporting experience amidst a dramatic and challenging landscape.
In the middle of October driven pheasant and sporting duck days begin. We offer single or back to back days. Favourite drives such as The Fairy Glen, The Illicit Still and Muckle Braes cater to all skill levels and tastes, ensuring a great day for everyone. Mini-driven and walked up days can also be provided, with duck flighting and woodcock adding variety according to season.
From the valley of the river Isla steep hills clad in a mixture of ancient and regenerated woodland rise to heather moorland cut through by narrow gorges. This topography supports an astonishing diversity of wildlife and offers not only very exciting variety of challenging birds but also sensational views.
A typical day starts with 2 drives. There is a break for elevenses followed by 2 further drives. The party then returns for a full lunch complete with pre-lunch drinks, wine and port. One or two drives in the afternoon are rounded off with a cup of tea and a chance to catch up with everyone’s memories of a special day in highland Perthshire.
